SDMS was founded on the following principles:

BackgroundThese are the basic beliefs which have served the company since its inception and continues to be the governing principles of the business.
SDMS was established as System Design and Management Specialists in 1981 as a proprietorship by Dennis Schmidt as a part-time home based business. Dennis helped establish the Computer Concepts course for Southeast Communitiy College, worked on converting the Foodday Summary Program for Agnet with the University Extension Division, developed a billing and time tracking system for the presort mail industry and developed software for the beauty salon industry. In 1991 the business moved to North 48th Street in Lincoln, NE. In 1993, SDMS, developed a equipment maintenance tracking system in conjunction with Lincoln Plating. SDMS has continued to grow and add product lines. In June of 1996, Systems Design and Management Specialists was reorganized as SDMS Inc., a Nebraska Corporation and by 2000 employed six full-time employees. Currently I have access to over 70,000 products and about 80,000 service parts and would like to add you to my growing list of clients. In 2005, I downsized and returned to school to finish my education as a Registered Nurse and moved the business into my home.
